This stike has gone on far too long, with the major sticking point being driver scheduling, as reported by CTV.ca:
"The main sticking point of the dispute remains control over bus driver scheduling. OC Transpo wants more control over the shifting of drivers. The union wants to keep the current system that rewards seniority."
In other words, the senior drivers want to be able to manipulate their schedules so that they can work overtime and make more money. The city wants to control the schedules because they have enough labour that overtime generally isn't required. I believe that this issue has gone on far too long and that the federal government should deem OC Transpo an essential service and order it's employees back to work.
The Federal Government must have read my wiki because they just legislated the drivers back to work!
